The proposal, called “a provisional detour” is an urban intervention along a Boulevard which is a direct alteration in the genetic code of an already built public space. The aim is to insert a series of low-impact constructions starting with the setting of a new layer of topography: a recycled glass pavement with different circular sizes that adapt to that new surface. The original layout is modified as no difference between roads and pedestrian routes exist anymore; low speed vehicles share space with bicycles and pedestrians. The nearby residents are responsible of deciding the public programme of that space, organized following a “periodic table” of communal uses.Amongst the scarce built elements, we propose a small metal towers (geodesic points) that provide accessible electricity and WI-Fi, and correct the hygro-thermal conditions of the surrounding by atomising water. The scheme also designs a big  mobile vegetation pots, that can be arranged to provide flexible garden layouts.
