The commission required a small exhibiting space whose main attribute was lightness, and the capacity to be dismantled and installed in many different locations: a travelling pavilion to show sustainable architecture projects. It was put up in Tokyo’s Sustainable Construction Congress. From the beginning the scheme aimed for transparency in all the enclosure of the construction as a way to enhance lightness; to match this aim we designed an inflatable plastic element with double skin, with an inner space to hold an object; in this case a double-sided image. There were two size elements 45cm and 90cm installed in a light aluminium structure. The pavilion’s skin was condensed in a package of only 80 kg and posted to the next location, in Barcelona where it was mounted in a different structure with the same proportions.
